Bangladeshi Man Charged in US Child Exploitation Case

Zobaydu Aman tricked teenage girls on social media by posing as a peer, getting them to send explicit images, then blackmailing them for more. The trouble started when a 14-year-old girl from Alaska reported him to police. After she cut off contact, he shared her images with her friends, leading investigators to uncover his scheme against hundreds of young victims across the United States. A mean-targeted girl's mainly in the U.S. while studying medicine in Malaysia, boasting to victims that law enforcement could not reach him there. He pressured them to recruit others just to make the demand stop. Earlier this week, after failed extradition attempts, Malaysian officials charged him and expelled him from the country. The FBI took custody in Kuala Lumpur and flew him straight to Anchorage. Aman pleaded not guilty during his first court appearance on Thursday.
