About this episode
Today it is all about balancing our life.
According to the financial diet, nearly 80% of all students work while attending school. And Mental Health America research shows that 70% of all students are stressed about finances, the research goes on to emphasize that with "work, school, activities, and friends all demanding attention, many students struggle with balancing and prioritizing the different areas of their life." So when it comes to trying to balance your life - hear me say, you are NOT alone.
During my main college years of pursuing my Associates and then my Bachelors, I worked (there was one point I was working three jobs). I volunteered in the community. I helped babysit weekly for my two oldest nephews. And yes, I went to school full-time (including taking 21 credit hours). In the midst of it all, it was just life - and it was busy, but now looking back I honestly don't know how it worked (I prefer to call those God moments).
So, when it was recently brought to my attention that many of the teens around me were all struggling with the same need, balancing life - from work and school to home and personal relationships, I dug in deep into those memories, researched through some of my old college stuff, and thought if I could help them with some tips that I used, perhaps it may be a game-changer in successfully balancing their life. I sure hope these 5 tips will help you this coming school term too.
