Bakerloo Line Expansion: South London's Tube Boost

The plan calls for three new stops along the way, including Burgess Park and Oldkin Road, plus better links at New Crossgate and Lewisham. A map from February lays it all out, sparking talk of even stretching further past Lewisham. Right now, folks near Burgess Park rely on spots like Kennington or Oval on the Northern line, or rail options further out. This extension would slash commute times and open up the area of big time for thousands of daily riders. Meanwhile, dreams of extending the metropolitan line into Harfordshire are dead. The Croxley Rail link meant to add Casio Berry Bridge and Wharfford Vicarage Roadstations got canned back in 2017 after years of delays.
