About this episode
If you’re struggling to get exceptional traction or results with your clients…try this. Set the bar to “Overdeliver”.
This means declaring an intention of delivering exceptional, unexpected value. It means asking for feedback against that intention. “How can I overdeliver with an exceptional (experience today, outcome this week, etc)?
And at every opportunity, ask…”did i/we overdeliver this week?” And if not ask why not.
Creating this exception and superior bar of service excellence, and insisting on being measured on it, forces you to work harder toward your goal because you know what people are watching you FOR. What they expect. And if you’re afraid to set the expectation high…don’t be. You’re going to encounter failure anyway, so why not fail at something huge instead of something small?
