Hours and a toy animal appeared as tributes outside the Peabody estate building by Sunday morning, after the police cordon was lifted, showing the community's heartbreak over the loss. Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell described the baby's death as an extremely tragic event, noting it seems to have happened in a domestic setting while urging anyone with information to come forward. The London ambulance service treated the baby on site before rushing her to a major trauma center, but sadly, nothing could be done.
