From brutal injuries, Jamie Varley, 37, and John McGowan-Phazakirley, 32, took in baby Preston Davy on April 1st, 2023. But prosecutors say he endured 40 traumatic wounds in their blackpool home before passing on July 27th. Right after the adoption, Varley texted family and friends venting frustration over sleepless nights, calling the baby exhausting and hinting at, violent thoughts, like wishing harm on him.
