Officials credit ramped up training programs and targeted recruitment drives. Breaking it down, those US hires include 109 doctors, 315 nurses, 51 nurse practitioners, and two dozen allied health workers. Nearly 3,000 Americans have applied since last March. With over 15,000 physicians total and 271 docs per 100,000 residents, more than half being family. Doctors BC is setting the pace and the momentum keeps building.
