Australian teacher speaks from Russian prison

Oscar Jenkins, a 34-year-old Melbourne teacher captured by Russian forces while fighting in Ukraine, has given his first interview from Lugansk prison where he is serving a 13-year sentence. The interview, conducted by Australian documentary maker Mark Lowe over two days, reveals Jenkins was captured in December after only nine missions, following a drone bombing that broke his arm. In controversial statements, Jenkins claims he no longer wishes to return to Australia, describes his jail cell as quaint, and says he would be prepared to fight for Russia after his release.
