Auburn Pursues Top QB Recruit Will Mencl

0:00On March 14th, Auburn football is chasing one of the top quarterbacks in the 2027 recruiting class. Five-star prospect, Will Menzel from Chandler, Arizona, ranks as the number 4 quarterback nationally. He's down to a short list of favorites and plans to commit mid to late April after some key visits. Earlier this week at the Under Armour next-T camp in Phoenix, Michael said he's close to a decision. He'll check out Auburn, Miami, Penn State, and Oregon over the next month. Those programs stand out because of his strong bonds with their coaches. Michael loved his time at Auburn back in February. He called it a family atmosphere after long meetings with offensive coordinator Joel Gordon and coach Alex Goulish. Those talks flew by and left a big impression. Meanwhile Auburn rebuilt its quarterback room this off-season. They'll have Byron Brown for one more year, plus Tristan Tia, Lachlan Hewitt, and Reese Brush, ready by 2027. The Tigers are also after another top 5 quarterback, Israel Abrams.
