Astrology for the Soul November 9, 2022

When a balance of giving and taking,
Is desired, discussed and reached,
My soul, my love, and the universe,
Will have joy, harmony, and peace.

I think it is easy to jump to some definitions of “give” and “take,” which may lead to misunderstanding this mantra. As I discussed briefly in the report, there are many types of giving and receiving. “Taking” most often refers to the Martian act of reaching out, grasping, and bringing back/in something from another “field.” However, another definition of taking can be “I’m not going to take any more of your lies.” For this week’s mantra, it may help to review your inventory regarding both definitions and see if you are taking too much that doesn’t belong to you AND if you are taking too much from someone that could qualify as “abuse.”

The same can be applied to “giving.” You may be giving away too much of your time, energy, money, or intellectual property, OR you may be giving away too much advice, judgment, “guidance,” or attitude.

Also, what I didn’t get around to discussing in the report is Leo as the fourth sign of the “fixed cross.” Completing Taurus, Scorpio, and Aquarius, Leo is the realm of creative self-expression, which is either opposed or complemented by the opposition of Saturn in Aquarius. Done correctly, the structure, rules, and laws of any “system” support the individual freedoms of its constituents. These unique gifts/talents/expressions begin and are developed through Taurus. Without the Taurus buildup, Leo doesn’t stand a chance and will be quickly swallowed up by Scorpio or dismissed/controlled by Aquarius. Knowing how important Taurus is, let’s focus on self-sufficiency now when the time is right!
