Astrology for the Soul July 20, 2022

When I find and express myself,
I notice there is opposition,
Rather than take it personally,
I'll become an inspiration. 

So, the Moon is in her final waning phase of this month's lunar cycle that began with the new Moon in Cancer. The third quarter square occurring today (Wednesday) can be seen as the proper time to break free from social conventions and move toward a liberated state of emotional awareness. 

This process is aided by her first joining Mars, then Uranus, and the Moon's north node in Taurus, the sign of self-sufficiency. The inner sacred marriage work requires that we first embrace and unconditionally accept ourselves as we are before seeking love and completion externally through relationship. 

The Venus Lilith connection walking together through Cancer will be joined by the Moon herself early next week. Cancer seeks emotional self-security, so we can see an emphasis here and now placed upon us to become our own mother, father, and lover. Lilith represents the deepest truth within us regarding our lunar, soul nature that has been suppressed and thereby distorted. This results in shadow projections and anger, which is hard to integrate into our total sense of self. 

The key that Lilith offers us calls us to recognize and integrate these fragmented parts of ourselves without guilt, blame, and shame. Realizing that these negative emotions result from not truly holding and accepting ourselves, we can push through our fears and resistance to break free and own our most primal, instinctive needs and desires, thereby releasing the anger and pent-up emotions to dissolve the anger that is the result of suppression. Let the good times roll!
