Astrology for the Soul July 12, 2023

I feel in my bones a big change is coming, 

For which I need to prepare.

To summarize what I discussed in this week's report, I'll repeat that we are in the closing phase of several cycles before the beginning of new ones. These are Moon's nodes completing a 1.5-year transit of Scorpio/Taurus, Venus completing a 584-day synodic cycle (with the Sun), and the Moon closing her monthly cycle this week.

The balsamic phase of any cycle is a time period of dissolution and letting go that is often accompanied by feelings of confusion, emptiness, and doubt. Think of the end of a relationship, school, or living arrangement to get an idea of what I mean. On the other hand, astrology tells us that there is another, new cycle that begins immediately following the end of the old.

Hence this week's mantra. The intention of this mantra is to focus more energy on preparing for the next new cycle rather than on what is old, leaving, or gone. Not that it is either/or, as there are lessons to contemplate and learn from every cycle, but there can be a tendency for people to dwell on the old/negative. Let's not!
