Australia's University Peak Body is warning campuses would shut down under one nation's migration plan. Pauline Hansen's proposal would slash international student visa grants from more than 290,000 to 115,000 a year and eliminate secondary visas for family members. University's Australia boss, Luke Sheehy, warned the plan could also lead to domestic students missing out. With the International Education Association of Australia saying, the changes could decimate an industry that employs 250,000 Australians and is crucial to keeping public universities afloat. Hansen defended the plan on news 24 today, pushing back against criticism at LACS' details and costings, and saying she doesn't believe the plan would send Australia into recession.

The Deputy Prime Minister has quashed hopes of a fuel-ex-size cut, despite petrol prices continuing to rise. Richard Miles told News24, the government has no plans to reinstate a cut, like the one that reduced the price motorist paid at the Bowser before it ended last month. Regular unleted is now averaging $2.11 a litre across Australia, up from 155 in July, with the NRA this week warning that high fuel prices are the new norm, as the conflict in the Middle East continues.

Matthew Reese also took out lead actor in a comedy for the series, plus one other lead acting role in a limited series, making Emmy's history. Ray Seahaw and one best drama actress for Apple TV's Pluribus, while Alison Janie won supporting actress in a drama for the Diplomat and Tom Pell-Free Toolcom supporting actor for task. The pit won best drama and Widows Bay picked up best comedy series.
