On April 19th, North London's Jewish community is facing a wave of arson attacks, with the latest hitting Kenton United Synagogue and Herald around. Midnight on Sunday, April 19th, someone threw a bottle with accelerant through a window, causing minor smoke damage inside, but no injuries or big structural issues. Firefighters checked it out quick, and counterterrorism police are leading the probe. This makes at least four similar hits on Jewish spots in under a week, including eventually reformed synagogue on April 15th, where suspects tried, petrol bottles, and a brick, plus a shop in Hendon on April 17th, and a media spot in Wimbly same day. Earlier ones, torched ambulances and golders green back on March 23rd, Prime Minister Sir Keer Starmor called it a porn antisemitism, saying attacks on Jews are attacks on Britain and they're ramping up visible cops. To hunt the perps, Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mervis labeled the Kenton hit cowardly, warning of a building campaign of violence, shaking the UK's Jewish safety.
Cops that made moves already, two arrested for Finchley, a 47-year-old woman, and 46-year-old man still in custody, three charge for. Wimbly, including a 21-year-old, 19-year-old, and 16-year-old boy, four for the golders green fires, police are flooding the northwest with more officers for deterrence, working non-stop with counter-terror teams on these linked cases, bowing to keep. Community safe no matter what.
