0:00Creativity is an addiction. Unplugged because we will always say yes to creativity. Totally uncut because we all make mistakes. So let's turn it into a tool. This is arrow unplugged. I think it's so funny that as I overlook this forest in South Charlotte, North Carolina, I can see the lay of the land and all the different dull colors that have now taken shape into this thing called winter. But there's no snow on the ground. But what fascinates me and makes me laugh like a child is how all the animals have blended into the picture. You really have to stare into the forest to see the deer, to see the different birds. But there's the human. When they walk by, they've got bright colors. They're talking loudly. They're on their smart phones. And it's almost like maybe there are times that we need to be invisible to kind of just fit in to the atmosphere. Now to get there requires what? That's the question. That's the

1:00exploration. Don't look at a winter's day as being, oh, it's just a negative feeling here. Look at it as a celebration of how can I fit in? Because I think I belong. I belong. Hey, it's arrow. This is the choice. This is what I was writing while the sun was waking up on a brilliant new day gifted with another opportunity to step forward. Isn't that a great feeling? Gifted with another opportunity to step forward. I mentioned to a coworker yesterday that I celebrate Christmas every single day. And I do blame this on having a heart attack at the age of 47 in 2009. You know, when you're on that table and the doctor has you looking at that screen and he's putting that stand in, you're going, you know, I got to change the way I think and I live. Well, the coworker didn't buy into this idea that I celebrate Christmas all day. They said that no, when you think like that, that's a celebration of self. But what you need to do is you need to

2:05serve the lights and festivities to all people who can see. I complimented them on the showcasing of their belief, but chose not to say everything that you said lives and shines through my actions and reactions. I don't need bright lights to shine a positive glow, but it's okay to have different outlooks and experiences. Sometimes I wish I had the blinking lights of wonder on the outside of my home and all of those blow up statues. You don't like Santa, the reindeer penguins and so many others engaging in the holiday cheer. And then I remind myself, you do have that in the way that you speak, the way that you share, the way that you collaborate, the way that you have compassion for people that are often ignored, set aside, forgotten. It's all there in the way that we think Christmas. I happen to celebrate it every day. If you do it once a year, I'm okay with that.
