Arizona's Bradley, Lloyd Win Big 12 Awards

0:00On March 9th, Arizona, senior guard Jaden Bradley took home Big 12 player of the year, honors on Monday. The award came from votes by the conference's 16 coaches, his coach, Tommy Lloyd, earned coach of the year too. Together, they guided the number two ranked wallcats to the regular season title. Bradley puts up 13.4 points and 4.6 assists per game. Arizona also grabbed the 6th man award, with senior forward Tobay Awaka. He's averaging 9.6 points and 9.5 rebounds off the bench. The wallcats sit at 29 wins and just two losses. Meanwhile, BYU Guard AJ Dibansta earned freshman of the year. He's the Big 12 and national scoring leader at 24.5 points per game. Kansas Senior Guard Noven Council, Jr. picked up newcomer of the year after transferring from St. Bonneventure. Kansas sophomore Florian Badunga, a 6-foot-10 forward, was named top defensive player. He leaves the league with 2.7 blotter per game, along with 13.8 points and 9 rebounds.
