Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs has officially vetoed State Senate Bill 1164, a controversial piece of legislation that had sparked debate across party lines. In conjunction with the veto, Hobbs sent a formal letter to the state legislature outlining her reasons for rejecting the bill. In her statement, the governor emphasized concerns about the bill’s potential impact on state resources and questioned whether it aligned with Arizona's long-term policy goals.

Meanwhile, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin made headlines after a heated exchange with a reporter who claimed there is "zero evidence" of waste, fraud, and abuse within the Environmental Protection Agency. Zeldin pushed back firmly, citing internal audits and recent oversight reports that suggest otherwise.
