Archbishop's Historic Pilgrimage to Canterbury

0:00On March 14, Dame Sarah Mollely, the new Archbishop of Canterbury, is kicking off a six-day pilgrimage with her husband Eman to gear up for her, installation service. They'll cover 87 miles from St. Paul's Cathedral in London to Canterbury Cathedral, wrapping up just before the big event on March 25. This marks the first time in modern history that an Archbishop of Canterbury has taken on such a walk ahead of their installation. The route follows the historic Becket Way, through Kent's countryside, towns and cities. The pilgrimage honors centuries-old traditions of faithful travelers heading to Canterbury. Dame Sarah looks forward to connecting with locals, sharing prayers, and listening to their stories along the way. Their group plan stops at key sites like Southwark Cathedral, Islesford Priory, Rochester Cathedral, and others for services in visits to schools. On the final leg from Chartham Village, they'll be joined by Dean David Montyth and Cathedral leaders. They'll hand out prayer cards, featuring words from pupils at the Archbishop School
