Both guys were two sport athletes in high school, splitting time between football and hoops before college. Manning ball for three years on varsity at Isidore Newman and New Orleans, playing as a six foot four forward off the bench. His squad even snagged the Division 3 state basketball title during his time there. He got special clearance from Texas basketball coach Sean Miller to hit the 40 acres court whenever he wants. Coleman, coming from Phoenix City Central in Alabama, was a power forward too and held his own just as strong. Lately the duo has been teaming up for pickup games, building that off-field vibe. Manning dropped a video of Coleman slamming a dunk, calling it Lightwork on social media. With fall camp around the corner, this hoops bond could translate to big plays on the grid iron for the Longhorns.
