Arab-Islamic summit: Leaders gather after Israeli attacks on Hamas in Doha

Qatar hosting leaders of the Arab and Muslim world in Doha today to issue a joint response to Israel’s attack on the capital last week. Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has opened the summit of Arab and Islamic countries in the capital, Doha. He said the emergency summit was being held after the “major aggression” that targeted Hamas leaders in Qatar. He said citizens and residents were taken by surprise, not only because the attack went against the sovereignty of a state and was a violation of international law, but also on account of this “cowardly aggression”.
