Apology Accepted, Access Denied - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites Podcast
About this episode
This strong statement was part of a meme I saw today: “Apology accepted, access denied.” Wow…talk about a powerful sentence in just four words!
Long ago I had a boyfriend who wasn’t a great boyfriend. When I’d finally had enough and broke it off, he tried everything – even apologizing – to get back in my good graces. Several of my girlfriends reminded me of all his good aspects – great looking, great job and financial prospects, etc. – and I almost caved.
Almost.
Maybe you’ve had a situation like that too? Or maybe you will one day. Yes, there is good in everyone, and yes, it is good to acknowledge that. And yes, you can see the good in someone without letting them be up close and personal in your life.
Accept the apology because that’s good for you, and deny access because that’s even better!
