The Consumer Price Index rose 3.4% in August compared with a year ago, the same as in July, but on a monthly basis, costs jumped 0.4% after rising only 0.1% the previous month. High prices are top of mind for voters as the midterm elections near. President Trump said this week he does not expect oil prices to fall much before them. I think it's going to take a little bit longer than the midterm. Democrats like Robert Garcia say it's the president's fault. Donald Trump does not care about the average American family or about affordability.
