0:00I'm Ed Donahue with the Navy News Minute. Oil prices shot past $100 a barrel today, as fighting between the U.S. and Iran escalated. President Trump was asked how long it will take for gas prices to go down. Right after the election, oil prices are going to be tumbling downward. They're going to be tumbling down and we'll get them down. I think for gasoline, we'll get them below $2 a gallon. But not until after the midterm. I think it's going to take a little bit longer than the midterm. The president was also asked how long the war with Iran will last. I think the war will end immediately after the election. Because they can't hold out any longer. They're desperate to try and affect the election so that we can get a nice week group of people in there. Last week, he downplayed the war in Iran as small potatoes. Triple A says the average price for a gallon of regular gas ticked up $0.7 overnight to hit $4.22. More information at APNews.com.
