I'm Ed Donahue with the Navy News Minute. According to Flight Radar 24, a technical issue in the UK traffic control system has led to the cancellation of nearly 300 flights. Britain's National Air Traffic Services as engineers are urgently working on the problem which is affecting departing flights. This woman Margaret Sloan has been stranded for hours on a plane at the Glasgow airport in Scotland. The staff have been very good. But everyone on the plane has been very patient. We have young children, we have children running up and down the middle. But no, it's everything's okay at the moment so we don't know how long we're going to be stuck in this plane. Arriving flights in the UK were not affected, but recovery is expected to take some time. The cause of the technical problem remains unclear. Budget airline EasyJet said some of its flights were unable to operate and that the system failure caused delays to flights across Europe. I'm Ed Donahue.
