AP All-American Team: Young Stars Shine

0:00On March 17th, the Associated Press unveiled its all-American college basketball team on Tuesday with Duke standout Cameron Booser grabbing the spotlight as the only unanimous first team selection. He was joined by AJ Divensa from BYU, Yaxxel-Indoborg of Michigan, Darius Ackov Jr. from Arkansas, and J.T. Toppin of Texas Tech. Second team honors went to North Carolina's Caleb Wilson at the top, along with Joshua Jefferson of Iowa State, produced Braden Smith, Michigan, states Jeremy Fears, and Illinois's Keaton Wagler. A couple of these stars won't make it to the NCAA tournament though. Wilson missed the end of the regular season with a hand injury, and had season-ending thumb surgery, while Toppin suffered an ACL tear last month. The third team features Houston's Kingston Flimmings, Alabama's LeBaron Philan Jr., Florida's Thomas Hall, Texas, Texas, Christian Anderson, and Gonzaga's Graham Ike. Notably, six out of the 15 top picks are freshmen, signaling a talented young crop. Honorable mentions include names like Arizona's, Jaden Bradley, St. John's Zubi EG-04, and Kansas's Darren Peterson, among others.
