Anne Marie had previously had an affair with the married Capano, but at the time of her disappearance, she was dating a man she called the love of her life. But, Thomas Capano was not happy that their physical relationship had ended. As police began the investigation into Anne Marie's disappearance, they began to look at Thomas Capano as their #1 suspect.
