Anduril & Palantir Join Golden Dome Missile Defense

This command and control layer will connect sensors, radars, and interceptors to protect the homeland. It's part of a growing consortium, pushing forward on this massive project. Costs for Golden Dome have climbed to $185 billion, up from an earlier estimate of $175 billion. The Pentagon's fiscal 2026 budget request includes an initial $25 billion to get things rolling. Earlier this year, on January 27th, 2025, Trump directed the Pentagon to create a plan for a next-generation shield. It targets ballistic, hypersonic, and advanced cruise missile threats, with reviews of space-based interceptors and better sensor setups. Other tech players like Elyria Technologies, Scale AI, and Swoop Technologies are also contributing to the software side.

1:00Major defense contractors such as Lockheed Martin, RTX, and Northrop Grumman are involved in the wider effort, with hopes to test the system this summer. General Michael Gettelin leads the program, calling it a layered defense against evolving aerial dangers.
