Michael Scheuer is the former head of the CIA’s Bin Laden Unit. He resigned from CIA in November 2004 after nearly two decades of experience in covert action and National Security issues related to Afghanistan, South Asia, and the Middle East. He is the author of the book, Marching Toward Hell: America and Islam After Iraq. He also wrote Imperial Hubris: Why the West is Losing the War on Terrorism, and Through Our Enemies Eyes: Osama bin Laden, Radical Islam, and the Future of America.
Scheuer holds a B.A., two M.A.’s, and a Ph. D. Scheuer is an Adjunct Professor of Security Studies at Georgetown University, a consultant for CBS’s 60 Minutes, and a Senior Fellow and regular contributor to the Jamestown Foundation’s Terrorism Focus.
