The fires on Maui were a disaster that could have been avoided. Have you ever visited Maui? It’s gorgeous. I’ve stayed in the city of Lahaina, which is now gone. Environmentalists insisted that the forests on Maui would remain natural. That is, all the junk on the ground that was tinder for the fire Was left there. The electric company didn’t shut down power that started the fires. The Obama-appointed head of the Water Commission on Hawaii would not allow the firemen to have water to put out the fire. The guy who was supposed to set off the siren in the event of emergencies didn’t turn it on. He said “maybe it would have caused people to panic.” Yes, they would have panicked, and they would have gotten out of there. But now hundreds of people are missing and well over 100 have been found dead. Biden pledged $700 to each of the survivors. Too bad they aren’t the illegals who invaded our southern border. instead of American citizens who need help.
