Jack and Rue, courtesy of Walwood alpacas, stuck around for hands-on fun. The team shared tips while residents stroked, handled, and even fed the gentle creatures, running the visit into a full-pan procession. Folks there raved about the instant connection, with one resident feeling like the alpacas locked eyes and got her vibe right away. It sparked real smiles and chatter among everyone. The home manager highlighted how animal therapy lifts moods and sparks social vibes, especially for those with dementia. It's all part of keeping things lively in their state-of-the-art setup with 67 on-suite rooms. In spots like a cinema, salon, and cafe on-site, Mercier Grange keeps residents active.
