Alex Kim: Top Chef Joins NAIT as Chef in Residence

He's stepping in as the Culinary Program Chef in Residence, guiding students through practical kitchen work and skill building sessions. The Hockinson Chef in Residence Program brings top industry pros right to campus. Kim will lead demonstrations, presentations, and special events designed to spark inspiration among the next wave of chefs. Students get hands-on mentoring from a real leader in the field, which could shape their careers early on. Meanwhile, the public can join in by sampling Kim's dishes during lunch and dinner at the on-campus spot, Ernest's. Right now, Kim serves as Culinary Director at Five Sales Restaurant in Vancouver. His resume also includes a top chef Canada finalist spot, plus British Columbia's Regional, Gold Medal, and People's Choice Award.
