Alec Pierce's Ankle Surgery: Colts' Top Target's Recovery

General manager Chris Ballard shared the news Monday, saying they expect him fully recovered by training camp in July. Earlier this year, Pierce locked in a massive four-year deal worth $116 million, with $84 million guaranteed. That lands him in the top 10 for total value among NFL receivers and 12th in average annual pay at $28.5 million. Fans and the team are filling the sting since Pierce balled out last season with just 47 catches for 1,000 three yards and six. Touchdowns. The first receiver to hit a thousand yards on so few grabs since 2010. His 21.3 yards per catch topped a lead for players in at least eight games. Ballard explained Pierce battled that ankle tweak all season, but pushed through, and after Doc Chats, they chose surgery for a real fix, no long term.
