This comes after John Wall's recent resignation. Three candidates are competing, Joan Reynolds, who stepped up from vice-chair to fill the role temporarily, State Representative Scott Stadigan from, hard sell, who left his position as House Majority Leader to run, and former Secretary of State, John Merrill. The committee has 475 voting members, and the vote kicks off the meeting agenda. Each candidate gets seven minutes to make their pitch, possibly sharing time with supporters.
