The average calls for a gallon of regular, unleaded hit, $3.54 on Wednesday, marking a jump of 5 cents from the day before. This increase ties back to the ongoing war in Iran, which keeps putting pressure on global fuel supplies. Drivers in the state are seeing some big differences depending on where they fill up. The cheapest average turned up in Clay County at $3.42 per gallon. Meanwhile, Wilcox County had the highest at $3.86 a gallon. Nationwide, the average sits at $3.84 according to AAA data.
