About this episode
Al Iafrate joins Cam and Strick for a rare interview sharing his love for hair, cigs, and slapshots. Not necessarily in that order either. This guy could absolutely pound the puck and brings 105 MPH heat to this conversation. Iafrate has an unreal story to share too, from joining the USA National team at 17 to being a high draft pick, to playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs as a teenager. He had plenty of ups and downs. From injuries to having relationship drama involving a teammate, Iafrate tells all. This guy was a great player too and that can't ever be overlooked. He could skate with the best of them and his shot will forever go down as one of the hardest in NHL history. He dealt with a shit ton of injuries as well which eventually forced him into retirement and ended his career. But not before he established himself as one of the best offensive defensemen of his generation. Plus he's a cool-ass dude, a Harley-riding, whiskey-drinking dude you want to hang with. This guy was tough too, so tough he used to light his cigarettes outside the dressing room with a blowtorch. Completely naked we should add. Sit back, relax, and enjoy Al Iafrate on this edition of the Cam and Strick Podcast.
