Affordable housing plans, ice storm cleanup, and more

Liberal leader Mark Carney revealed his party’s housing plan, promising a program modelled on the home-building boom that followed the Second World War. It’s being stacked up against Conservative and NDP ideas to tackle Canada’s housing crisis.

And: An ice storm in Ontario and Quebec leaves hundreds of thousands without power. Roads are blocked. Trees are down. The clean up could take weeks, as the powerful storm moves to Atlantic Canada.
