About this episode
This recording was a result of a class that I was teaching in Sanaa, Yemen. Every evening, we would be in class when this brother would call the adhan for Maghrib. I would stop everything that I was doing to listen to it. Every day, after he finished calling the adhan, I would tell the students how beautiful that adhan was. One of my students went to the Masjid the brother was calling the adhan from and recorded it for me. Every time I hear this adhan it makes me homesick for Yemen. Yes, homesick. I never got homesick for America, but wallaahi, I am homesick everyday for Yemen. I ask Allah to return me and my children to Yemen.
