Addressing the Issue of Race as Men with David Bowens
About this episode
The issue of race can be a very controversial issue these days, mainly because of polarizing political propaganda. It can be even more challenging in the church.
So, how is God calling us, as men, to lead and engage with this divisive cultural issue?
Today, we're spending some time with David Bowens, a Worship Leader at Orchard Hill Church. David shares about his experience as a black man in a predominantly white church, and what it was like addressing the issue of race during the tumultuous events surrounding George Floyd.
We also discuss how we, as men, should lead and engage with people who are different than us, especially in our church, as we reflect the love of God. Lastly, we talk through some ways that the gospel brings unity among diversity and how this reflects the kingdom of God.
