On March 6th, a Birmingham Skip Hire company called Action Skip Hire Limited has been ordered to pay 9,495 pounds and 50 pounds for ignoring a court order to clear ways from a site. Earlier, back on July 7th, 2025, magistrates find the firm more than 48,000 pounds for running in a legal waste. Operation without a permit off Oxford Street in Digbeth, they were told to remove all the waste by October 7th, 2025, and could have asked for more time if needed. But when Environment Agency Officers checked the site on October 8th, plenty of waste was still there, with no extension request ever filed. The company pleaded guilty on March 2nd at Birmingham magistrates court, and now the agency is stressing that breaking these rules harms the environment and public health, urging folks to report issues through their hotline.
