And I, it's rich, and greetings from my humble little senior citizen apartment here in rural Missouri, it's great being with you, as we encourage each other to abide in Jesus, to live a life grounded in him, having faith in him, following him, and doing what he says, right? Yeah, okay. And I got a great word for us this hour from Psalm 56 and starting in verse 2, the Psalmist said, My enemies would hound me all day, for there are many who fight against me almost high. That's how it is for you and me. We have spiritual warfare, and so we experience the enemy attacking us. We have, of course, the devil and his demon spirits who conspire against us. We have the world, which is living in rebellion to God, trying to draw us away from the Lord. And we have our sinful flesh, our corrupt sinful flesh, and that nature that is still abiding in our body, thank God, the Holy Spirit is in those who believe, and we can yield to him. But I got to tell you,
when I yield to the the flesh, I reap nothing but corruption. It's awful. So that's why we're told to yield to the Spirit all the time, right? And let's encourage each other to do that and understand, there is a spiritual warfare going on. My enemies all day oppress me. My enemies would hound me all day, you experiencing that. And then in Psalm 56, in the next verse, verse 3, he says, whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you. And that's what we need to encourage each other to do this moment, to trust in the God of Israel. And it goes on to say, in God, I will praise his word, in God, I have put my trust. I will not fear what can flesh do to me. Psalm 56, whenever I am afraid, I trust in God. Whatever I know, I'm under attack. I look to the Lord and trust in him and ask for his help. And I will praise his word. Thank God for his word, bless you and I do the same this hour. And that's what I wanted to share with you. And I shall visit with you next time.
