Abide In Jesus Podcast

0:00And I is rich in greetings from my senior citizen apartment, great being with you, as we encourage each other to abide in Jesus to live a life of devotion to him, rooted in him, faith in him, doing what he says. I was reading about Lazarus and how God raised him from the dead. And then in John chapter 12, it talks about Christ being at his home. And it says here in verse 9, a great many of the Jews knew that he was there and they came not for Jesus as a sake only, but that they might also see Lazarus whom he had raised from the dead. But the chief free splotted to put Lazarus to death also because on account of him many of the Jews went away and believed in Jesus, John chapter 12. So Lazarus of follower of Christ, and he experienced this great miracle, but because he's a follower of Christ the world is going to hate him as much as they hate his Lord. And they went after him like they went after his Lord, at least they plant on doing it there. So you see, it's the way it is for those of us who follow Christ.

1:05But the great news is there is a great reward for those who are faithful and continue with the Lord through thick and thin. Now if you've drawn back, I encourage you to come back to Christ. He loves you. He forgives you. Call out, ask for his forgiveness. His steadfast love is absolutely incredible. Experience it. Don't let the enemy rob you of the joy of repentance and restoration with God because you are of great value to him. He died for your sins and for those who have not backslidden and are walking faithful beyond guard because it could happen to you. It could happen to me. It has happened to me in the past and it could happen again if I let my guard down. So let's be careful and let's say faithful and let's realize there is a price to pay for following Christ. But the dividend is incredible eternal life with our Father and with the King Jesus. And that's it. I'll visit with you next time.
