1:08Hello and welcome to this sleep story from Abide. I'm Tyler. Thank you for joining me for our story titled God's Message Revealed. Throughout time, God has spoken to his people in various ways, audibly, visually, and through his written word. In Colossians 1-25-26, Paul writes this. God has given me the responsibility of serving his church by proclaiming his entire message to you. This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past, but now it has been revealed to God's people. The message Paul speaks of is Christ in you, the hope of glory. And from this message, our sleep story is written as a peaceful meditation

2:13on the richness of God's word and the message of Christ in you. I pray you'll find rest as you hear from Colossians 1 and other passages that speak God's message of hope, life, and truth. You're invited to let go of all worry, stress, and doubt as you enter into this time of peaceful meditation and relaxation. Let the Holy Spirit guide you as you trust him to remain with you. Allow his peace to settle over you, diminishing the days, stress, and filling you with his holy presence. Thank you so much for choosing this Bible meditation.

3:14Our hope is that you'll sleep soundly through every hour with a sense of peace and calm given by the Lord. But the scriptures speak as only they can, ordained by God as messages of life and hope. And remember that every word in the Bible is God breathed, inspired by him to guide you in all truth. So lie back, relax, and fix your mind on the reliability of God's faithful word. Hearing and powering messages from dynamic speakers can be both inspiring and motivating. Many of us have favorite pastors, teachers, and mentors who speak words of wisdom and life to us.

4:15The Apostle Paul went from being a teacher of the law as God revealed to him the message of salvation and commissioned him to share it with believers everywhere. Imagine being in the congregation hearing Paul's words of life, hope, and faith. In Colossians chapter 1 verses 25 and 26, he says this, God has given me the responsibility of serving his church by proclaiming his entire message to you. This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past. But now it has been revealed to God's people. The wonderful thing about the message Paul speaks is that it's a message revealed to you as well.

5:17The mystery of Christ Jesus, your living hope is revealed in your heart by the Holy Spirit who dwells in you. Let this comforting reminder sink in for a moment. All confusion is cleared away as God's truth shines brightly in your heart, mind, and soul. It's as if all the cobwebs are removed. Then you have a deep sense of clarity and peace. In vision, a family cabin nestled deep in the woods. Every year the family packs up the car and drives to the cabin for much needed rest and relaxation. But before they can truly enjoy being away from it all,

6:20the cabin requires a little bit of cleaning and airing out. As they open the doors and windows, fresh air replaces the stale air that's been penned up all winter. The family turns on some worship music as they work together, dusting, sweeping, and changing bed linens. And before alone, the cabin is clean and stocked with plenty of supplies for their peaceful stay. A sunlight peeks through the windows, writing the cabin with a joyful sense of tranquility and peace. The sounds of nature outside remind a family that their own vacation. A wave from the hustle and bustle of daily life and ready to unwind.

7:21Allow this imagery to help you unwind, letting go of all responsibility and resting in this peaceful setting. Continue relaxing as I pray over you. Thank you for joining this child near, comforting them with your presence and peace. Please continue to bless them with messages of hope as they sleep contentedly in your care. I pray these things in Jesus's holy name. Amen. Keep resting quietly as I read our focus passage again from Colossians chapter 1, verses 25 and 26. Paul says, God has given me the responsibility of serving his church by proclaiming his entire message to you.

8:26This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past. But now it has been revealed to God's people. What a blessing it is that God calls certain men and women of faith to carry the responsibility of serving the body of Christ in profound ways. To know there are people, we can count on to speak the entire council of God's word with sound doctrine is a blessing indeed. As part of our spiritual growth to listen to trusted pastors, teachers, and mentors, committed to God's truth and willing to impart the message of salvation to all. In the new international version of the Bible, Paul says,

9:27I have become at servant by the commission God gave me to present you the word of God in its fullness, the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations. But has now disclosed to the Lord's people. Rest in the fullness of God's holy word, what used to be a mystery is now disclosed to God's people and you, my friend, are his beloved child. Receive the fullness of hope through Christ Jesus. He lives in you and works through you for his glory. Oh, what a beautiful message of hope and promise. Yes.

10:27When the solution is simple, God is answering. The simplicity of the gospel is a gift to us from our Heavenly Father who is not a God of confusion or complication. Instead, he blesses us with clarity of vision to see the road ahead and the provision of his spirit who guides us. Returning to the imagery of the cabin in the woods, take a peaceful walk down the treeline path with sense of pine and mountain air. How refreshing, crisp and clean the areas. As you follow the winding path surrounded by the beauty of creation, you're reminded that the Holy Spirit that goes before you stays with you and follows close behind.

11:37You're never alone on this mountain path or any path for that matter. Everything becomes clear as you walk with Jesus. It's as if the sky opens up and the sun shines brightly on your journey. The sounds of birds and squirrels and buzzing bees are heightened as you walk in the peace and clarity God gives. The air is refreshing and clean. You stop on the trail to gaze up, closing your eyes and letting the sun's rays shine on your face. I'll feel the warmth of God's glows surrounding you now. Another quote from Albert Einstein is this,

12:39if you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough. As a child of God, you're given wisdom, insight and understanding. His plain and simple truth is that Jesus is the hope of the world, our blessed hope for eternal life. Jesus is the way, the clear path to the Father. It doesn't get any clearer than that. What a wonderful Savior who reveals his message to us in the simplest, easiest of ways. This goes along with God's character as Jesus said in Matthew chapter 11 verses 25 through 30. I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, this is what you are pleased to do.

13:48All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son, and those whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and humble and heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy. And my burden is light. My friend, the Father is pleased to reveal his message to you, his child, his beloved. Rest now in Jesus, the one who is gentle and humble and heart. Find comfort in the ease of his arms and light in the presence of his glory.

14:56Dream of walking on the mountain path, side by side with the Savior. Let me pray for you one last time. Heavenly Father, as this child sleeps deeply in your loving care, please remind them of your timeless truth of peace and hope. Fill their dreams with beautiful scenes from your creation. Mountain views, boasting, towering pines, colorful wildflowers, and winding paths that lead to peaceful places. Thank you, Lord, for your spirit that surrounds this child with renewed hope and strength. Please remain with them as they sleep soundly in your love and provision. And Jesus is holy, precious, beautiful, wonderful, name above all names. Amen.

16:05I hope this peaceful meditation has encouraged you, reminding you of the blessed message of hope found in Christ alone. As you continue on your journey of faith, remain steadfast in the Lord, relying on Him for guidance and provision. You can trust Him to lead the way, no matter how winding the path is. He knows what's ahead and is already preparing a place for you, a place to spend eternity with Him. Continue in the truth, God reveals, and as always, continue to abide in Christ.
