New parents and homeowners feel the pinch hardest, struggling to unload groceries or baby gear without a nearby spot. Late night crowds from the last trains bring noise, broken bottles and traffic jams, even electric car chargers get hogged by non-residents. Commuters admit its convenient and free compared to the 17 pound 20 pence daily station lot, but some say residents deserve priority since.
