week one of the NFL opens. So Devon McCordy sat down with Drake May and AJ Brown. And I imagine the entirety of this interview will be played during the pregame tonight. And so McCordy, as he's looking at both of them sitting right across from him, asks May and Brown about being locker neighbors. I imagine something you're familiar with, Boomer. At first said we noticed we walked in here. Everybody was like, there are lockers of side by side. Did y'all choose that? Did you just come in and lockers were together? How'd that go? And so Drake May is the quarterback. He's like, you damn right, very thoughtful answer. I think it's kind of natural. You want to have two of the leaders on offense. And especially in the skill position room to be in cost communication and have just kind of a demeanor. You know, in the locker room of those two guys over there talking football, you're working and doing things the right way. Make sense? Then they looked at Brown. Yeah, I had no idea about what I just came and I was there. So it was kind of interesting. I was always around the offensive lineman. I never wanted to be around the wide receivers.

Why is that? Because they're a pain in the ass. I was open. I'm open. I'm open here. I'm going to run this. I'm like, oh my god. Well, maybe AJ Brown will get 150 catches this year. I think he and Garrett Wilson and Malik neighbors will all be like, boom, boom, right there with Justin Jefferson and everybody else. CDLAM. CDLAM. What about Jackson Smith and Jigba? How about him? Yeah. Big season list. JSN, baby. Super Bowl champion. How would Dave Simms say his name? What else is going on? Niners Rams in Australia tomorrow. Baker Mayfield, a three year extension with the bucks, $165 million. The Jet Start and Tennessee on Sunday. Here is Aaron Glenn. He was asked about, you know, Rob Salas now coaching the Titans. And I didn't hear the question, but it sounds as if he was asked something along the lines of this has to be personal to Salah. You know, right? The Jet said coach. It goes with, I guess you can say the territory of Salah once it's being here and then I

stepped in as the head coach. But to me, I'll look at it. It's a game that we're going through to win. And it doesn't matter who it is. Yep, got to go out and beat him. In terms of this jet team, what would make the season a success? Successful season. Winning. Winning. I mean, hands down. Effort discipline. And then he just, I don't know why just glared at the reporter. It was, it was a range. I could, he's probably thinking you're trying to trap me into saying X amount of wins or now you're going to bring this back to me at the end of the season where you said, oh, you know, you wanted to see this to be a successful season and we're not seeing that. I mean, I could understand why he would be annoyed at that. I'm just glad that he didn't answer it like a jerk like he has. Yeah, the interesting thing is they're going to be, well, you would think that they have four games on their schedule, maybe five if you count Cleveland.

I'm not sure what to make of Cleveland just yet. But five games where they're playing teams that they, that are worse than they are. Maybe six. Winable. I mean, Tennessee got Miami twice. You got Vegas. Cleveland, Vegas. I mean, that's five games right there. I mean, you got it. You got to win those games. Now you use the word being a jerk. So I was going to do this a little later, but I'll do it now. Da Bo Sweeney with the media yesterday. So Clemson got lit up by LSU. A lot of people are questioning the way he put this team together. His use of NIL, the portal, things of that nature. So he was asked this question. Do you regret anything about your off season roster construction? Chapel, you come with all these questions. I'll tell you, you're the gotcha guy. Okay. So he goes on to answer the question. No, I don't. I don't, man. I regret being over and over right now. I regret that. But what can you ask Matt at the end of the season, you know, the season in over. I mean, we got one game got 11 more.

Well, if we go 11, one. Okay. And then it was an ass kick. And then, you know, Clemson fans were showing some of the guys that got some of the big NIL money in the off season. And they were getting housed. And you know, that's not a good sign for the coach. Well, he continued on this theme before he really turned us into a jerk. You promised me you asked me that then? Okay. I'll answer it. All right. But I'm not answering questions like that, you know, chapel. I know that's your role. And that's in this environment, you know, to be the guy that wants to create all the controversy and ask the controversial questions. If that's who you are, it's fine. I get it. All right. It's a little swarmy, right? I mean, he got to, he got licked up and down for years and years and years by these things. Well, he won a national championship. But they also, you have to remember now, this is no longer college football. This is professional. Yeah. I mean, the coaches are getting paid $10 million a year. The players are getting paid. I mean, so now all of a sudden, the questioning is going to be different. I know it's always intense down the SEC and down south, down by Clemson and South Carolina

and all that, but it's going to only get worse with social media and the amount of money that's being spent on the sport. Now, Allie tells the story about he felt like Warren Sap was going to basically shove him in a locker and he was covering him back in the day. So here is where Dabo Swini, if he could have, it sounds like would have with this reporter and he really does sound like a jerk here. We played one game. One game, all right? Did you play football? Oh. Okay. Well, they give you 12 games and at the end of the year, you count them up, all right? And, you know, that's when those type of questions are fair to me. Yeah. As opposed to after 51-10 in prime time. I mean, you got to be humble. Well, I mean, you got to be humble. Something happened to Texas and Archmaning last year when they lost a Ohio State. And I guess that's his point. Yeah. The season has just begun, but he is getting clobbered everywhere. Yeah. Oh, listen, these are passionate fans, man. You know it. It's kind of like Yankee fans around here. Yeah, but the Yankee fans.

Everybody expects a national championship. Yeah, I know, but the, you know, especially when you spend it. Well, $25 million on your team. Yeah. 51-10. It's not even Yankee's. Yeah. I don't even know what the equivalent to that would be. Losing to the Red Sox, the opening weekend of the series by a combined score of 30-4. Yeah. By the way, I was reading a story about LSU and they were saying how those two players that were trying to come back from the NFL are no longer going to be added to the roster because they added two other players to the roster. So now they have a total of 105 players on the roster. You also are the SEC taking them to court. Yes. There's a lot going on down there. It seems like they have backed off that whole thing because at halftime, Lane Kiffin said to Holly Row, could you imagine if we had any NFL players what this game would be like? He seems like a lovely guy. Oh, he's. Next down. He always got my car wash nice though. It was good. I forget about that. I'll have some from the Yankees. They did beat the Rockies five to three.

Aaron Judge was back. He went over three, but Ryan McMahon had a big hit and Elliott Ramos had the three run a homer. Yankees clinching their 34th consecutive winning season. They don't pick up any ground on the raise though because the raise and Freddie Peralta beat the Braves course. Of course. Me and time Pete Alasue had his 33rd homerun, but the Orioles did lose. And the best people on the leash Roberts. Actually on the IEL. Yeah, we talked about that. Yes. Shocking, right? Exactly.
