In a bid to empower artisans, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has started offering space for self-help groups at various airports to sell their locally-developed products. Currently, under the AVSAR (Airport as Venue for Skilled Artisans of the Region) initiative, these Self Help Groups (SHGs) are already offering their products at 12 airports in India, including Agartala, Kushinagar, Udaipur, and Madurai.
