The recent project “Sailing Dreams” is inspired by sailing to Maine with her partner Bryan Allen. Her video of “Why Worry” on 20-string harp guitar garnered a total of over 8 million views onlineMuriel has recorded with country legend Chet Atkins and performed with Les Paul, Tommy Emmanuel, and many others at her annual Muriel Anderson’s ALL STAR GUITAR NIGHT®. The event raises funds for the Music for Life Alliance, a charity she founded to help provide instruments and lessons for kids. Muriel is a gifted educator via her books and instructional DVDs, and teaching online via TrueFire.com/h2495 and StringMasters.Muriel fell in love with the guitar at an early age and learned every style available to her, beginning with folk, bluegrass, and then jazz in high school. She received a degree in music from DePaul University and went on to study with classical virtuoso Christopher Parkening and with Nashville legend Chet Atkins. She has composed music since age four or five, and has written solo instrumentals and vocals, choral and orchestral compositions.
