About this episode
Hello and welcome to another episode of Lexx Education! The comedy science podcast where comedian Laura Lexx tries to learn science from her nerdy younger brother Ron.
This week, it’s biology which are usually our happy balmy waters, but this week we have to look at the very serious subject of coronary heart disease, via coronation chicken, raisins and Danny Champion of the World. While we don’t go out of our way to be insensitive, it is a lighthearted podcast and we are our usual selves so bear in mind that if heart attacks or heart disease are likely to be a bit close to the bone for you it might be best to skip this one.
We look at the treatments on offer for heart surgery, medications and their pros and cons. Laura gets confused about the thickness of blood, they discuss the dismal future of planet earth and whether it’s too late to help so you might as well eat a prawn.
