It's my favorite part. So we'll see what we end up talking about.

1:00Country Club with Kelly a little later on the American Express. Golf tournament. Mike Sommich making an appearance on the show today. Little NFL and always NHL when he's into as well. Maybe some horses. I don't know. We also have some horses in as well. I don't want to promise what I can't keep. So we'll see. But NFL and NHL for sure. We'll do a little R.A. Sure later on in Kelly. I would like to start out with though. Listen, how we should start every show. A little electromagnetic field substation update for everybody. It's hilarious. Great story. Did you happen to send me to text this morning as I was watching this press conference where some very sheepish reporter for the Niners who clearly had a friendly relationship with John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan was like, Hey, this is the tone. This might be a theme today, by the way. This was the tone of his question. He was like, Hey, guys, like I know it's crazy. But you know, I just thought I'd say it because some people are saying it. So I just wanted to bring it up just you just to cover all bases. I, you know, I that kind of told this from like last week. I think it was, I think it was the other day.

2:01I think it was yesterday after they lost. Yeah. But he's basically trying to see are the Niners and all interested in this viral conspiracy theory that the electrical substation near their training facility in Levi's stadium is contributing to all their injuries. And John Lynch basically said, Yeah, we're kind of looking into it. Mm-hmm. We're kind of looking into it. We just want to every all paraphrase want us to open, you know, turn every stone just to see because Kendrick born after the game the other day when, when, when, no, it was not the last, the last game, but the game before when Kittle George Kittle tore his Achilles. Kendrick born was like, psh, substation. And I just want to say this, the theory has been shot down by various scientists and medical professionals. Frank Devoke, a professor of epidemiology and public health at Bristol Medical School in England, considered a leading expert on how EMF, that's how the cool kids say it, Kelly, affects humans, told the Washington Post that the theory is, quote, nonsense, unquote, there it is. There's your electromagnetic update.

3:01Yeah. It was the, I mean, it's, it's never one of the things me and me and you've talked about too much this season, even though we've been hearing about it for two months now, something like that. Um, you know, I was enjoying a couple of the Twitter docs that we, we referenced sometimes, a couple of that were not really get out. It was like, oh, man, all right. My favorite part about the whole thing is just been all year long. It's like, oh, all these injuries. But Christian McCaffrey stayed healthy. And Trent Williams. Trent Williams. Trent Williams and Christian McCaffrey are healthy. Like, yeah, I think, I think things are okay. They were notculated from it all. Yeah. Uh, by the way, this morning, the finalists for all the awards have come out. Yes. So this is a post vote list. So this is based on the voting. They're just letting us know one of these five people are winning. I don't want to brag or anything, but every bet I've made is still alive. Hey, listen, NFL MVP for those who are wondering if Matt Stafford and Drake may made it. Yeah, they did.

4:01I was kind of chuckling too. I don't know if you saw, but they were like, it was the NFL doing like special graphics for each one of these. And I think I put them in the order they did. The order was very much MLB awards ish like that you've brought up before. The order Kelly is alphabetical. Oh. Oh, good call. There you go. Here, welcome. That's what it is. So I'm here for that. So that one out. Thanks. A little adult supervision. I was wondering why there were burying some of the guys. It was like, it was a little weird. Josh Allen Trevor lords, Christian McCaffrey, the aforementioned. Good that you brought them up. The other three NFL MVP finalists. Um, okay. As long as May and Stafford are there. No biggie. Should we go to the next? Yeah, we got a, I'm giving, having Danny, give me calcium. I'd says we go minus 800 on Stafford now for MVP. Minus 800. Yeah. They're all calcium for putting it up still. NFL come back player of the year. You know, which one I'm most looking forward to get is the coach. And if I'll come back player of the year, there is Christian McCaffrey. The, uh, the favorite in the betting markets, at least the legalized betting markets up until they were taking down on those.

5:06Uh, Trevor Lawrence who was the second shot in those markets is there. So was Dak Prescott Kelly's pre flop bet. I'm sitting laughing. There's just around this whole alphabetical thing. There's pigs. There's hunch. And said, by the way, it's listed DHL MP, which Kelly does not realize is the old alphabetical thing. Uh, okay. McCaffrey minus 1300. And calcium. 8:11NFL defensive rookie of the year. Abdul Carter, Nick Emma, Worry, James Pierce, Jr. Carson, Swessinger and Xavier Watts. So what I love about that is that Watts got in there. Which again, so for those who are like, oh, well, the Rams got the Falcons pick in the first round. The Rams, excuse me, the Falcons ended up with James Pierce, Jr. and Xavier Watts from that trade. So for those who are like, oh, the Rams lifted it. No, they didn't. Falcons couldn't be any or any happier with that trade on draft day. It's kind of comical that they have. It's two Falcons players on this graphic like this. Yeah. In Abdul Carter. Really? There's not another. Carter was stuck in somehow. Swessinger is minus 1329, James Pierce, plus 1328 and even Worry, 24. All right. Here's the big one. NFL coach of the year finalists. Remember, at different points, we get to name like eight guys in this. But here are the five finalists. Liam Cohen of the Jaguars, Ben Johnson of the Bears, Mike McDonald of the Seahawks, Kyle Shanahan of the 49ers and Mike Verabel of the Patriots.

9:15I think we all kind of would agree. Those are the five that we would have expected. I think in the end. So who's not in there? Sean Payton is not in there. Demiko Ryan's is not in there. Oh, I did lose a bet. Demiko. You had Demiko. 150 to one now. Kelly Lied. Verabel minus 456. Mike McDonald plus 426. Liam Cohen, 32 to one. I think that would. I think that will be a very splittered vote. I think so too. But who knows? 50 people. That's all. I think 50 people vote on all these. I think very unshocking. If Liam Cohen and Ben Johnson get a first place vote as well somewhere in there. I don't I could see. I could see every one of those five guys getting a first place vote, right? Liam Cohen's will be well. He took a more have been franchise to get great glory this year. Ben Johnson. Oh my God. What a what an absolute shift for the Bears. And by the way, what he left behind, what an absolute shift downward in Detroit. Mike McDonald, number one seed in the better conference in the best division.

10:19Kyle Shanahan overcoming all the injuries. And Mike Verabel. Just absolutely having a spectacular season with the New England Patriots. I think every one of those guys is going to get a first place vote. Who do you use the least likely to get one? Least likely to get a first place vote. Yeah. Because my mind has shifted on this, I think. I will say. Liam Cohen. I'm going to go Kyle Shanahan. Yeah, somebody's going to get him a first place vote. Some all takes is one of the 50 to be like, I don't care what anybody says. Electromagnetic field. We bring it full circle. We bring it full circle through that injuries. Right. Electromagnetic fields. All that. The NFC West. Yeah, man. Anyway, so those are the finalists that's post vote finalists. So we know for a fact that the winner comes from that group. As we do that, we do it with three. I think in MLB, they give us three finalists at the end where we find out that Spencer Strider is not even the possibility. That kind of thing. So it's what MVP. It's one through five. They rank it and then every other one. It's one through three, I believe.

11:19Is that how the voting was? I believe so. I believe that's how it works. Yeah. When will these be announced here in a couple of weeks, I believe. Right. Yeah. They don't wait like unlike MLB. You don't wait till Thanksgiving before the superman is before the superman. It's a very fifth. There you go. Three days before the superman. And it's all of them in the same day. Mm-hmm. Is that right? Yep. And then we get to go to dinner with Aaron Schatz. And then he finds out that he's the only one that kept somebody from being unanimous. And then we lose Aaron for five minutes. I'm sorry. We aren't doing the right thing. We're not playing a win. We're not playing a gather of chemistries. Not there. ESPN cleaned up the intro questions. I thought it looked kind of like you were talking about with the Kyle Shanahan and a little bit of the leading questions. Yeah. Oh, boy. Yeah. 19:38Exactly. These are field goal attempts. And it is silly, right? 11, 12, 12 and 13. The last four games, three of those of those they've lost. Um, so yeah, it's, it's Yannis again. It's now he's kind of like calling out the team, right? And it's, this is just all, it's all feels like it's going to end bad. Hey, guess what, y'all? You can bet on this in Calcie. Market will close February six, though. Yannis to stay with the bucks is the favorite minus 335. The Nick's are the only other team with a single digits at plus 614. Everybody else is double digits. Um, wow. The Nick's or he has expressed, I guess, some interest that at one point. So here's where we're at. I think he'd have nobody to trade for him, though. I don't think it was listening to Brian Winhorse address is yesterday. Just for things that have to happen, right? Yannis is still under contract. Okay. Yannis has not to, to Brian Winhorse knowledge, still ever, ever told the front office he wants to be traded. Okay. So we're still at that. He needs to be traded.

20:38The only team that has ever been brought up out of Yannis's mouth that he'd want to go to is the New York Knicks. That's why they are the first team on, on this list. Now the New York Knicks have had their own troubles recently. I don't know. Is there a possibility they could make a move like this before the trade deadline? Yeah, Gil, but I don't really know how this is where Milwaukee's stuck, right? Because how do you sell your fan base on taking back Carl Anthony towns and a couple small pieces for Yannis and Dakota, right? Like you can't sell the fan base on that. I don't think you can. So I think the Knicks is going to be really difficult to figure out any warrior's trade is, is you're going to move an injured Jimmy Butler, which feels pretty gross. I don't know if that's going to be able to happen. And you brought, you kind of brought it up with the heat. I don't really know the, the heat half much that they're going to give away that the bucks can be super excited about either. It's a long way of saying the best time in that this was the case last off season. This is why I was upset about it then too. The best time to figure these things out is in the off season and not right before the trade deadline.

21:40So I think the odds that you, if you're watching at home are pretty appropriate minus 335 for him to stay in Milwaukee and guess what? It's just going to get uglier as the season finishes. And then finally, they're going to figure something out in the off season. I think if you're looking, if you're convinced this has gotten so ugly and a team will make a move for the best player in the Eastern conference. He's the best player in the Eastern conference. If you're convinced I would just bet the no price. And this is why it is nice to have markets like this available where you don't have to select just a specific team. You could just bet the no price on him staying with Milwaukee. Some of your league last night, the nicks after dropping nine of 11 beat the nets. 120 to 66. That was one of those like everybody started to freak out about it finally. They were two and nine and there are 11 games before that. There's ever been a double up in the NBA where a team out doubled the score of their opponent. The final result. I wonder, but that was six points away from from happening. I bet so. I'm probably a lot of games played in NBA history. Really. A lot of games.

And this team is worse than I thought it would be, you know, to start the season. So it might reach a point. So where he asks out the problem with this list is like you. Sorry. I don't know for the viewers are not seeing it or listeners. It's Nick's heat warriors raptors spurs on this odds board. And it's just there's not a lot of teams on this list that have all of the assets you need to get a player like Yannis. Like he could go on and go to New York. But I don't know how they get him because you know that trade but seemingly have to include. A carl Anthony towns who has been getting booed at Madison Square Garden.

26:42I don't know why Milwaukee would want him. So I think that the heat would probably be the best bet of these teams. It's because I do think asset wise. They're probably in the best shape of all of them. But man, I don't think that the list is all that strong. I still think the hawks have the best pathway towards getting him. Yeah. It's a good call. I think he does too. Hey, was that real quick? Just after the comments last night. Do you think is this a trade for people? You bet a lot of props. If we're betting player props going forward. Is this a trend that it's going to continue with Yannis? As far as like, I mean, he kind of just threw his teammates under the bus. Apparently he's not getting the ball enough. So I don't really know why they'd be encouraged to give him the ball more now. Or is this the classic now that it's been brought out into the public? We're going to see Yannis take 27 shots next game. Yeah, I just think it's going to be more of the same from Yannis. Like of what we've seen throughout his career. I think it was just kind of garbage post game talk. I don't think it's going to be a trend that we see moving forward. Like it was a game against OKC. It's not that crazy to think that like they did a better job defending him off the ball.

27:42It wasn't as easy for him to get his touches. So that's kind of getting lost in the shuffle a bit. So I just kind of think it's going to be back to normal next game. I don't think there's going to be any freezing out of Yannis. I don't think there's going to be any concerted efforts to get him more touches. I just think it's going to be something that we look back on. And it's just another shot at his teammates. When the trade happens is Tinas is part of a package deal. Or is it the type of thing where two weeks later, they see him at the end of the bench and they're like, Oh, we've got to go. We got to send him along as well. I'm curious. You have probably you have two plays in the NBA tonight. Zach, what are they? I have the rockets money line against the 76ers. It's a pretty good rest spot for Houston against a Philly team that's playing a third game in four nights. This rockets team. Honestly, like they've been a little bit disappointing this year, but you look at some of the numbers. They're still really strong when looking at their advanced stats profile. They're number two in the league and adjusted net rating. They're also the fourth best defensive team in the league. And one of the things that the rockets do very well is they get back on defense.

28:44Their number three in the league and points allowed per 100 possessions in transition. That's really big against the 76ers because Maxi and Edgecomb are so freaking fast that they can just kill teams with their speed. But I don't think that's going to happen against Houston. I do think a men Thompson's going to take one of those two guards kind of out of the play when he is covering them. And I also think that overall while Steven Adams is out for the rockets, they're missing a big offensive readouting presence. I still like the way that Houston's the rest of their lineup is much bigger than Philly's. Okay. And then you are fading the Warriors, the post Jimmy Butler Warriors here. Yeah. I've taken the Mavericks plus five and a half minus one 10 against the Warriors. I think that Golden State's in a really weird spot right now because it's not just that they have to replace Butler's production. It's that they need to do it with very few trade assets. He's a player that impacts the game on both ends of the floor. And I think just mentally right now, that locker room's got to be in a fragile place because I talked about it with Kelly. 29:46This is a team that was looking to buy at the trade deadline. They were linked to guys like Michael Porter Jr. and some of the names that you're hearing that are being floated at this deadline. And now they're just not in a position where they're going to be looking to add anymore because why would you trade good future assets to kind of recoup what you lost in Butler when it's not going to mean anything in the long term? I think this team is probably going to be pretty fragile. And the Mavericks have been very good against the spread at home when playing against teams of winning records. And they've also been very good as underdogs of three and a half to nine and a half at home. I believe they're actually eight know against the spread this season in that situation. Okay. By the way, correction from earlier, I said the thunder had to go 35 and 0 to break the record. I shortchaded 37 and 0 to break the record. That's what they have to do. Okay. Burnley 37 and 8. So there you go. Small task. Okay. To tennis. The Australian open. First of all, how's the tournament gone for you so far, Zach? I think I'm a little up. I need to go back and look it's all by numbers because I do have challenger stuff as well. And just on one file.

30:46I really need to do a better job of separating it. Think up up a little in the Aussie open last night. I did at Bartook of a good for you. So that was a small play. But it ends up cashing big because it was plus 860. So that was nice. Wow. That's amazing. You had to be benched. That's. Yes. I had a plus one and a half sets of the bigger play, although not not even a full unit on that. And then I had a smaller play on the money line. I've just watched a lot of her like kind of at the lower levels of tennis. And I think she's really crazy talented. And I thought she looked all right. And her match against Kassakina. It didn't look like the moment was too big for her and bench. It's as good as she is. Just not a player that you could really trust match by now. See against Kassakina. I had the numbers pointed to Barton Kova. And I didn't have the onions to play it. And I hated myself after that. But not for one second. Would I have played her against bench? So good on you for that. The player I have regret on yesterday was I had my numbers pointing to select. Metova. A select made of a pardon me against Badosa. And again, I didn't pull the trigger on that.

31:46So my tournament is there's a lot of regrets so far in my tournament. I had one bad day. So I'm kind of right on even as well. So far through two rounds. All the future still intact. And so because now we're at the third round. And it's only like a bit. It's a you know brackets of 32. I was able to actually get ahead of this. And so I've I've just submitted my picks. And you sir and I have matched on two. What are your Australian open picks for everybody? Yes. I'll start with the one that we're not on together. I have a cam nori against Alexander's vera of over three and a half sets at minus one thirty seven. That's really because I just haven't been that impressed with Zvera going back to the second half of last season. And the start of this season. I think that he's been struggling to kind of win matches convincingly. I mean, both of the matches he's played in Melbourne so far have gone to four sets. And I think that nori has pushed him before at this very tournament. And he's pushed him before in general. I mean, this is a player that is very, very tough, very competitive. He's got not going to quit on like anything.

32:47And he does kind of have like a forehand that can be really loopy. That can kind of change angles up on Zvera of a little bit. Really just kind of throw him off. And nori has been serving very well since the start of the season. So I can see this being a match with a tiebreaker or two. And those are the types of matches that I generally do think get extended a little bit. I think the tiebreakers, while they favor one player usually, I do also think that they're kind of coin flips. All right. And the ones we match on, let's start with, let's start with Yovic. Yep, I have Yovic plus 122 against Paulini. That's another one where it's like form really shouldn't matter this early in a season. Like there shouldn't be that much tennis. But you know, Yovic has played 11 matches. She's nine and two heading into this match. So you could make a good argument that she's like the hottest player on tour coming into this. And Paulini is a player that really looks like the worst player in the field at last year's WTA finals. And then hasn't looked that great to start this season either. So I think it's a getable match here for Yovic, who I think is going to be a big factor on the WTA tour for a very, very long time.

33:51Only 17 years old, very talented. And then Andre Rubello is a favorite against Francisco Cerundolo, but not a big enough favorite in my opinion, yours too. Yeah, I agree. I mean, Cerundolo has better numbers when you look at just last year, but if you kind of break things down to three years and look at a larger sample size, I think Rubello has the stronger player there. Don't let us down, Rubello, get to your, you know, normal quarter final that you normally get to. Andre, with why? Well, just lead. Just ruin this one. That's all we ask. I know it's always early in the tournament where he kind of looks fresh and, you know, healthy. And, you know, you should look like that after, you know, it off season. But I really have been impressed with the way that he's been playing.

38:57Both as a server, you know, from the baseline, I think that the movement looks really good. I did read a lot over the kind of off season about how he was retooling his body and working, you know, with some of these like bio businesses or whatever they are. I don't know what they, what type of biobacadic coaches, whatever they are to try to kind of, you know, reverse his age and clock a little like, you know, as a, as a no back joke of it would. And I do think that you kind of look at this draw. And it's, it's like filled with some of like the ghosts of joke of it just passed like the other way. Like Taylor Fritz has not been able to beat him throughout his career. Musetti has been haunted by joke of it throughout his career. It meant she gets the one that can really kind of give him trouble. If they do end up facing one another, like we saw that at the Miami Open last year, he had a lot of trouble with that powerful server. They're just kind of hitting the ball by him. But I do think that in a best of five, I'd give the edge to joke of it. So I do think he's going to come out of here. I don't know what that means in terms of long, you know, long term. I think he probably just gets washed by center eventually. But I do think he could win this quarter. Men's side not, I mean, Lady side, we've had a few upsets.

But on the men's side, I mean, who's the best player that's been knocked out or Cots? I mean, really, there hasn't been any to this point through two rounds as we were not quite at the business end of the tournament, but we move on to the third round starting today. Okay. To the national football league. Let's start with the the AFC championship where the Broncos are five, and well, I don't settle in right around five, I guess. I guess, uh, let's call that consensus right now. We're showing a four and a half at circa. Uh, here, the Brock was four and a half point home dogs against the patriots. Of course, it's Jared's did him 42 and a half is the total. Where did you land on this game? I laid the four and a half with the patriots. Like, I understand the argument for Stidham. I understand that he's not this big of a drop off from Nick's like what you're kind of looking at the point spread for a normal week. But at the same time, like he has not played a game since 2023. And this isn't just a normal regular season game, like

40:59you're throwing him out there against what are the best teams in the league? And you're asking him to go out and kind of keep up with a patriots team that is number one in the league in EPA per play this season. I just think that it would be a little bit easier if they had a really strong running game, but that running game has been really inconsistent all year. So I'm not getting the normal like, oh, we have a backup quarterback in. We'll just pound away, you know, between the tackles and, you know, shrink the game a little bit. But I think they're going to try to do that. I just don't think they're going to have a lot of success running on that path's D line. And I think at some point, we're going to see a big player to remain. I think that that might be the difference in them covering the number. I think it's a pretty small number when you're talking about a backup quarterback against a player that has been, you know, statistically, the best passer in the league. Okay. The NFC championship, you have decided to not only take the points here, you've decided you're taking the Rams on the money line. Forget the points. Yeah, it just kind of feels like a big discount to me. When you kind of look at the full season's body of work, this Los Angeles team is number one in the league in net EPA per play, you know, factoring in both offense and defense. And I kind of look back to both

42:03of the regular season games that these teams played. And it really felt like the Rams were the better team to me. I had the Seahawks in that second game. So I was very happy that they ended up winning, but they were down 16 in the fourth quarter. It took a punt return touchdown to even make that game close and then kind of a miraculous finish for them to ultimately win the game. But you look at the two matchups and the Rams were up double digits in both games at some point. I think that this is a bit of an overreaction to what we've seen in Seattle's wins over San Francisco. And I'll just kind of point to the quarterbacks and coaches here as major mismatches in my opinion. I think that what Stafford has done in the postseason throughout his career and what he has accomplished throughout his career is just kind of head and shoulders above above what we've seen from Darnold's. I ain't Darnold's a good quarterback. Just not proven at this and also kind of, you know, dealing with that oblique injury that is almost pushed him out of the game last week. And also, I like McVay over McDonald's when we're looking at the coaches. I think McDonald's are really good coach, but I do think that McVay is just kind of proven himself a bit more. If I have Rabakata in the tournament too, those are my two picks to win, Anderson Mova and Rabakata. And I do think that Mohova's got a good shot against Gough when they meet in the fourth round or if they meet in the fourth round, but I think there's a really good shot. She wins that match. All right. Last one, Madison Keys or Victoria Mboko minus 310 for keys, plus 225 for Mboko. I think there's a chance Mboko could lose to Towson. I will say keys is properly priced there. I would I'll give Mboko a better chance just because I don't think the Towson's been playing quite as well as you did last year to start this season.
