0:00And hi, it's Rich, broadcasting on my smartphone here from my senior citizen apartment. And there's something I like to share with you this hour from Jesus, something he said. It's recorded in John 13, verse 35, and actually verse 34 and 35 in the Bible. A new commandment I give to you that you love one another just as I have loved you. You also love one another. By this, everyone will know you are my disciples if you have love for one another. John 13, verse 34 and verse 35. And I was thinking this is a good word for you and me, a good reminder to seek the Lord's help out in walking and obedience to this word and live in Christian unity. I think of what it says in 1 John 2, 10. He who loves his brother remains in the light and there is no occasion for stumbling in him. And then also we're told in 1 John 3, 10 in this, the children of God are revealed in the children of the devil.
1:06Whoever doesn't do righteousness is not of God. Neither is he who doesn't love his brother. Also, 1 John 4, 20, if a man says I love God and hates his brother, he's a liar. And 1 John 4, 21, this commandment we have from him that he who loves God should also love his brother. Isn't this a great reminder for you and me? Listen individually, be seeking the Lord's help in living this type of life and honoring him. And that's it. Remember Jesus loves you and he is just a prayer away.
