My guest today is my friend, Mounir Benchemled, the founder and CEO of ParaSwap. ParaSwap aims to solve the liquidity problem in crypto markets by bringing every exchange protocol into one platform. Their goal is to empower users with the most competitive market prices and the highest liquidity. Currently, they exclusively handle Ethereum and ERC-20 tokens, but they have stated their goal is to handle most major blockchains. Mounir's a tech/ product guy. He started as a software engineer in 2007. Since then, he's mostly worked in startups as a developer, product manager, or as a CTO. He got interested in crypto back in 2013 when he realized that Bitcoin is only the beginning of a great financial shift. In our conversation we discuss Paraswap and their goal to become an integral part of the infrastructure layer of the digital asset industry. We also touch on the importance of liquidity within a market, the history of decentralized exchanges, the benefits of a system that is decentralized trustless, and much more.
